The US media portrays Mexico as an extremely dangerous country. More or less, the message you get from the media goes something like this if you step one foot outside of a beach resort in Mexico, you will probably get mugged or killed.
If you've been following our videos at all, you know that's obviously not true. We've done videos in the past about general safety in Mexico but we've never done a video like this - how safe it is for women.

Mexico is as safe as the US we the added benefit of no mass murder
Yes
Thanks for clearing that up. I look forward to the day you guys will do a World tour, am sure it'll happen someday. It will be nice to see you guys unearthing some hidden beauties in the World as well as disproving stereotypes
Greetings @tangerinetravels guys!
If they only had a little fear just driving in Guadalajara, I think it's a safe city.
Many times news channels magnify small things that happen in any city in the world.
In my country, just leaving with a camera (or cell phone) in your hand, would be a reason to steal your device or kill you.
And for a woman to go out alone to the street (if she is very cute) it is also dangerous, because it is a reason for the criminals to dare to do bad things to them.
True
Media magnify small happenings sometimes
Is a maddnes, only for sale and people still watching the channel.
Driving in Mexico it could be insane. About safety, is like any other country, good areas and bad areas, you choose. If you have the money to live in a decent area, go for it. One more thing, there is a lot more freedom here in Mexico than in the USA.
Wow! See how Maddie glows. You look absolutely cute. I 'stole' the picture already.
There is no denying the fact that you have both changed my view and orientation about Mexico. Your videos did justice to make us see things for ourselves and you have always been open and objective.
I am really sorry you had to do this alone as Jordan is a bit down. I wish you both strength. Stay strong please.
Really . Nice Article
Nice post
Good luck

In all countries there are dangers and insecurities, only that we women must be aware and take care of ourselves.
I loved that you shared this! I was just in Mexico City in early June and have heard about how "dangerous" it is, but I felt like it was pretty safe. I even stayed near the Zócalo (historic area) and my Mexican friends told me to be extra weary. I think as a solo female traveler, we just have to be aware of our surroundings in the city.
Many say that Mexico is more safe than USA
I feel like if i 'm watching television, i would have to search up every little topic and video myself .
Every time i research "dangerous countries and cities" i come to a totally different conclusion, than what media would have told me.
Mexico, South american countries, iran, syria, russia, etc.
every single time its crazy xD
Ofc one should do a reasonable amount of research at every place and to have some local help you out is always great i think :)
have a fantastic day ^^
Excellent friend. I love the information shared and developed in your post ... Every day I learn a little more about you ... From #venezuela supporting your work with my #vote and my #reesteem as always .. blessings
Its a great video. Thanks for sharing it.
this is a awesome way.women is most important in our life and society.
You're still alive so that's pretty clear evidence there must be some degree of safety in Mexico..
I think a lot of cities are pretty safe nowadays for women. I've never really traveled by myself in Mexico, but I have in a lot of other south/central American countries. It's a common misconception. But the people are all so welcoming and you do need to keep your guard up as you would anywhere else in the world when traveling solo.
