RE: [Video Blog #65] - EOS Update, Dumb Money & One To Watch (Cryptocurrency)

in #video8 years ago (edited)

Thanks for this video Sebastian, very interesting. I'm in Australia as well, just starting in crypto world. I got into the first EOS 23hr/2M tranche yesterday and it has been (actually still is) a crazy ride. I trade spec stocks as well but a 250% gain in a day is something I've never experienced before! It's dangerous to make any predictions on price at this time, I wouldn't be surprised if we would test the highs when the US comes online, since they can't participate in the ICO... And that price expectation, together with the 30,000+ ethers already committed for this next tranche makes me a bit weary to get into this one tbh. If it can hold this price there definitely is value (I did some basic scenario modelling, see my first blog post) in getting in but the swings are so wild to both sides, don't really want to wake up here in Oz to find out we're back at support around 3 USD... ah choices! The FOMO is strong on this one. Keep up the good work, I will be following you. Cheers

I feel the price will continue to rise. The US can only by on an exchange and those who do not want to go through the tedious process of the ICO will also buy on the exchange. I feel the arbitrage scenario will continue for some time and may last the entire journey. What price will we settle at? $20 to $50. Anything above this will be unbelievable and would no doubt correct if EOS is yet to be launched. IF EOS delivers some key development aspects throughout the year we may find it goes even higher.

Yeah, well that's a whole different discussion isn't it? It's all hype now, they still need to deliver! On the price, I really hope you're right. For me, since I'm new to the crypto world it's so hard to do a proper valuation on this or any crypto currency for that matter. And I guess given my background in stock trading and missing out on the crazy 1000% gains in crypto land I just can't wrap my head around that (yet). That's why it's so valuable for me to read blog posts like the one you put up to educate myself and better grasp the intricacies of this space. On EOS I'm holding on for the longer term, I only took a small position since I'm still learning. Maybe we'll look back at this thread in 1 yr and have a good laugh about it! I hope so (in a good way).
