Wrabel - Wrabel on Fans, New Music and Working with Stargate

in #video7 years ago

Stephen Wrabel says that writing and singing help him clarify emotions that sometimes can’t be articulated any other way. The LA-based pop artist, who burst out of nowhere in 2014 thanks to his “Ten Feet Tall” collabo with Dutch DJ Afrojack, made a splash last year with the poignant “11 Blocks.” Now he’s back with two more heart-on-sleeve anthems, “Bloodstain” and “We Could Be Beautiful," produced by Stargate. Both are part of a new EP. The openly gay performer says that the latter track is “really hopeful. It was written for someone who was really having a hard time.” He sat down with Vevo to chat about his mom’s recommendation to write happier songs, how he loves to chat with fans, and the power of using the proper pronoun.
