What Video Game Do You Wish Had A Sequel?

in #videogames8 years ago

Hey everyone,

Whatageek here late on a Tuesday. How is your night treating you? I'll be up for the next hour or so posting, commenting and liking, so drop me a hi.

The topic for tonight is sequels. Everyone has a game they wish they got more of, and unless you're a Call Of Duty fan, you are probably waiting for a day that will not come. But hey, it's the internet, where anything is possible. So what game do you want to see a sequel of?

I'm going to throw out Battle Toads to start the convo.

p.s. if enough people pick Half-life 3, the game will get confirmed. Try it, it's like saying Beatle Juice's name 3 times.

Sort:

Eternal Darkness.

Also more Zelda and Metroid games.

I agree, I would like to see a new Zelda with more RPG elements like the second one for NES. Any interest in a 2D Metroid of is that just me?

I don't know enough about Eternal Darkness to comment, how was it?

Eternal Darkness was awesome, a completely underrated gamecube game. It's a sort of survival horror, with the addition of an "insanity meter" that would cause weird things to happen when it ran low.

If you like 2d metroids check out Axiom Verge. It's so similar one could call it a rip off if you didn't know they were paying homage.

I loved Eternal Darkness. Not just cuz it messed with your character's mind, but because I messed with the player (muting the game, the fly on the screen, fake crash, volume adjusting). It just had a real WTF vibe to it!

Well, so much for not spoiling the surprises. ;)

Those elements are so cool for a game. I remember the first Metal Gear Solid and the reading on my memory card during the Psycho Mantis battle. Would be interesting to see more tactics like that implemented in new games.

I remember hearing about that mechanic, it sounded interested. Could work well with VR nowadays... maybe too well.

Sentinel Worlds. Yes, there was Hard Nova, but I always wanted a proper sequel.

I just looked at some screenshots, how did the combat work? Was it menu based?

I'm a gamer who stuck to Super Nintendo, PS1, N64 and PS2.
My favorite game ever is TERRANIGMA on the SNES, and would love a sequel!!

Those are easily 4 of the top 5 systems. I wish they would make more 2D snes type games.
