We're really excited to bring you the 3rd Dev Blog for Vimm.TV! A lot of improvements were made since we posted the last one. We're going to kick things off by going over the most notable changes on the platform for streamers and then we will jump right into the Q&A.
v0.1.11 - More options for Steem users
This update was mostly focused around implementing much needed features for streamers with a Steem account.
You will be happy to know that you can now edit the content of the post that is generated when you go live as well as set custom tags for it. (See screenshot)
Get accurate metrics for your channel
It's really important for us to get this right. We want to give you the tools that you need as an entertainer to accurately monitor your channel's growth and statistics. This is why we started implementing live analytics for all streamers and added a Live Stats panel on your Dashboard.
Obviously there is more to it than just tracking your live stats, but we wanted to give you a preview of the things we're going to track in our analytics. Now it is really important that if you're a streamer and there's something you would like to see implemented in that system that you get in touch with us on our official Discord server! There is no better way for us to improve the platform than getting direct feedback from the people who use it.
Answering your questions
@Vimm has been in alpha since July 1st 2018 and has been up and running ever since. Since we haven't made an official announcement post yet (stay tuned for that), we figured it would be good to answer some of your questions now and take that opportunity to get in touch with you and hear your ideas and concerns about this new live streaming platform.
Q&A
Feel free to send in your questions in the comments section below and we will reply to all of them! All Q&As will be compiled in a blog post for future reference.
As always,
thank you for being part of this incredible journey!

In your opinion what are the main things that differentiate Vimm.tv from DLive.io? Do you plan to ask Steemit or where ever it is that DLive get's their 2,068,099.083 SP delegation from for a delegation as well in order to offer upvote incentives to your early adopters?
When you sign up for facebook, twitter, etc, it's instant, there is no bullshit 2 month wait time
The registration barrier definitely played a role in our decision to not make having a Steemit account a requirement. While it gives you access to a lot of nice features provided by the Steem blockchain, we want to allow everyone to use the platform regardless of how they decide to sign up.
We believe that by showcasing the upvote based reward system (which is an excellent model for live streaming), we will bring attention to Steemit and convince some users to grab an account.
We are looking into ways to make the process of getting a Steemit account faster and more convenient in the future. (no ETA yet.)
