Upcoin Exchange is a new exchange that will open in March 2018 and will support cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies as well. They have the goal of being one of the most popular and used exchanges and with them offering trading pairs on 1000 currencies; they might just get their wish.

One of the reasons that I am excited for this new exchange is because of the top-up options they are touting that will be available. They list Perfect Money, AdvCash, and Paypal to name a few. Really excited to see Paypal there as I am in the USA and having another on-ramp to purchase crypto is always good.
Upcoin is a registered business and they have servers spread out over 4 regions. The four regions are located in ASIA, USA, and EUROPE so hopefully this will help mitigate any down time that might happen. If one server goes down then the others will provide backup.
They will be requiring KYC regulation which means that you will have to provide identification to either signup or to withdraw and deposit certain large amounts. As much as I hate KYC, because it's nobody's business but my own what I do with my money, these are the frameworks that we have to operate in sometimes. Until decentralized exchanges become a bigger thing; we'll have to play by the books I guess. They do state on their web page that, "All our trader info is kept undisclosed and cannot be released to any state authorities." While this may sound golden; I doubt that info will be withheld if the government decides to send in their goon squads to knock down their doors. (Sorry, I just have a huge distrust as to why governments require companies to require KYC regs)
Upcoin is going to be offering bonuses for users who sign up early so I'd keep a close watch on any news on this project. They are also getting ready to enact a $5,000,000 bounty program. I am thinking the bounty program will be rewards to developers and techies for trying to identify bugs in their system so all of you tech geeks out there be sure to jump on that. It could be quite profitable.
They also boast that the operating speed of the exchange will be top-notch and they are saying, because of their tests, that the exchange will be able to handle 5 million transactions per second. I iamgine with the amount of servers they will have that this helps handle the load. They have also optimized the exchange to run on a variety of device types such as desktop and mobile.
This is a project that I am watching closely and I do like to gauge new exchanges whenever they come out. I've read ver this and I think it has potential. You can read more about Upcoin by visting their FAQ post on Medium at the link below:

We definitely need more exchanges, especially ones who will take fiat. I wonder if they will trade steem?
I am sure that they will. They are saying that it will offer over 1000 coins for trading so let's hope!
