When a dispute about whether it is worth taking synthetic vitamins and other supplements, whether it is necessary to adjust diet in a special way, or whether you just need to rely on your appetite begins with me - grandmother's joke always comes to mind: "Everything is useful that got into your mouth!"
The point is that if I have an excellent health, there are no health problems (which some people may have even while feeling good in general ), the human body itself is able to determine what foods is needed to maintain a healthy body balance before going for a help of any kind of artificial tools of health correction.
The question “which vitamins are better - natural or synthetic?”, is still controversial. Moreover, the answer directly depends on many factors - the current state of health, the geography of the consumer, earnings, the therapeutic need, etc.
Personally, I think that initially it is worth paying attention to the available products containing the necessary complex of vitamins, and only then (if necessary) supplement the diet with industry products. For example, vitamin A from fish oil is more effective than its water-soluble form from synthetic capsules. A natural vitamin D, contained in the same fish oil, even in large doses is less toxic than ergosterol, obtained artificially when irradiated products with ultraviolet.
I’ve read reports that vitamin E, obtained from soybean oil, is also more effective than a synthetic analogue. Even in the most expensive and high-quality preparations of vitamin C, which are prepared, for example, from rose hips, usually contains no more than 100 mg of bioflavonoids. Although, if you eat the same amount of fresh dog rose or a couple of spoons of currant (jam with tea) or oxalic soup, you can get more than ten times the size of the same bioflavonoids, and in the same advantage of pleasure.
Chemically, synthetic vitamins are identical to natural analogs. There are situations when the required quantity of vitamins is so high that getting them from natural sources is simply physiologically impossible. In such cases, it seems reasonable to give preference to the products of pharmaceutical companies. And still, if there is an opportunity, try to turn your attention to natural sources first.
You are wrong. Vitamins are very different. Generally the water soluble vitamins are as efficient and has no problems compared to the natural counterpart.
Where it gets tricky is vitamins a and e. Because it is not a single compound. Vitamin e is 8 different isomers. The synthetic one is only 1 (dl-alpha tocopherol). Which makes you bleed easy.
Vitamin d is best as sunshine, but few if any problems with synthetic d.
