A welcome return to far more British weather, wet, overcast - still late teens temperature but far better than sweltering. Coffee roasting has been flat out with a pick in in demand, big new and existing customer orders and general sales through white rose coffee roasters website have been keeping us very busy this week.
Combined with strong general sales of ingredients and disposables and of course green coffee for people that roast themselves - it’s been busy busy.
I finally got chance to watch Secret Invasion and see the Piece Hall featuring towards the end of episode one - in fact I also noticed Dean Clough makes an appearance too just before the Piece Hall. And of course it’s another great Marvel series, packed full of action and suspense.
I’m also getting a little closer to posting the Power Mac G5 gaming pc build from way back in January - that’s a 1985 Apple aluminium “Cheese Grater” case with a 2018 gaming pc motherboard, graphics cards and PSU crammed in - it’s still running sweet too either for just streaming whatever I fancy from the likes of Netflix, Disney or Amazon Prime Video or gaming - my current go to is Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order - which I’m going to finish before starting the latest offering Star Wars Jedi Survivor. Gaming is totally flawless - the GTX 1070 isn’t an amazing graphics bard todays standard but still rocks a solid 60fps - which is enough for me and good job the monitor I have isn’t up to much more anyway!

What i find frustrating with the Heatwaves we get here in the uk, is they never last long enough for me to acclimatise. Due to a chronic illness i suffer it takes me about 2 weeks to get used to the heat... which is usually the longest any of our hot wrather lasts 😂
To change the subject tho, that El Salvadorian coffee i bought off you last order was really nice m8. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and only have a weeks worth left at a guess.
I'm financially on my arse this month so will have to do with aldi's guatemalan beans (which are surprisingly nice) until the end of the month when i get paid, to pursue what coffee delights are on offer at WhiteRose.

P.s. I'm going to be in Hebden Bridge in mid August so might take a day trip to halifax, take a look at the roastery if you're around, and buy a couple of 1Kg bags in person. My girlfriend will be with me, and she's a coffee nut and drinks twice as much as me ☕ 😂

Really glad you enjoyed the El Salvador, we are just moving to a new estate so exciting times trying it and nailing the roast profiles.
August would be fine, we are in Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm, only thing is 22nd I should be off to Indonesia to visit coffee plantations and source the cream of the crop for next years stock - will be there until the 1st so hopefully you would be in the area before the 21st.
I will be in and around Hebden Bridge from the 17th - the 22nd of August so the timing is good.
Do you mean you are moving to a new place for your business/roastery?
I can't guarantee I'll be able to make it to Halifax 100% as I'm not going to have my own car (we'll be travelling over the peak district in someone else's and I'm kinda looking forward to not having to drive), but I remember the train is an easy hop from Hebden Bridge up to Halifax, as last time we were cat-minding my friend's kitty we met some people in Halifax. But I might get outvoted on where we visit.
But, I've been promised the car for one full day, as I want to walk up to Stoodly Pike and show my girlfriend the amazing views up there :)
Like I said, she's a 'coffee nut' like myself so we'll probably end up dropping by on whichever day I get the car b4 I drive up to the reservoir by Cragg Vale.
I know you work very hard with 'WhiteRoseCoffee' But I have to admit I feel a wee bit of jealousy when I see all the awesome places you get to visit to source the different bean suppliers ☕😂
I hope you do get a few free days in these places to take in some sights and experience the culture.
I used to travel a lot more and miss it as I've not been on a proper backpacking adventure for a while.
Anyway, I'll make sure it is before the 21st (and I'll try pinging you on Discord or commenting on one of your posts when I'm 100% what day we can make it) 👍
P.s. I know this is a bit cheeky, but if you're not too busy that day, could we have a look at the roastery area and learn a bit more about how the roasting process works from you? Both I and my girlfriend would be fascinated, to learn the different processes.

It’s been very hot and very humid here with pop up thunderstorms. Glad business is good. Have a great week.
The UK has had a good dose of Thunder but my little area avoided most of it, the odd monsoon rain drop but literally lasting half an hour at most.
Business is great but it's getting harder and harder to steer, we sell such a variety of products that are sourced from a few hundred suppliers to thousands of customers - just keeping stock coming in to go back out in time is a massive challenge.

Harder is not good. Is there a way to make a standing purchase from some of them? If that’s possible it may make your life a little easier.
I’m pretty close to as busy as you. Getting materials that I use, has been quite a miracle at times. The wood availability has gotten better but the hardware has gotten worse for me. I only use two different brands because of their quality. I’ve literally have had orders on backorder for over a year now. I just keep placing orders with different suppliers. If all these orders ever come in I won’t need hinges or drawer slides for a year….🤣
