Hahaha, this was brilliant. You know your style is what makes you stand out from everyone else. I like the way you say ahan and the funny faces you kept making when reading the news on twinkies not being immortal. I do a curation post every week wherein I highlight some great articles I come across that need more recognition and so far, my curated pieces have been missing out on the right amount of fun and entertainment. You gave me just that so look out for my post tomorrow :)

Thank you so much! Sharoon!

I was finding myself looking up weird stories during my break time and decided I might as well share my thoughts on stuff-n-things. 😃

I'm having a lot of fun doing it, which I think is the goal.

I wish my internet was a bit better, then I could be more consistent. As for now, I'm at the mercy of my upload speed.

Thanks for popping in!

As I mentioned in other comments on this post, I need reminders from folks for me to get over to your blog. And now, I shall. 😍

Don't beat yourself too hard on not visiting your Steemit friends' profiles regularly and not beign able to catch up on their work. It's alright and I completely get it. I read your comments below and you know that's how most of us feel. We get caught up in stuff and then one fine day when a friend stops by our post and leaves a comment, we're like OMG, I totally disappeared on him/ her. Happened with me so many times. I hardly use the feed to stay up-to-date with stuff which is why I often miss out on great contests. However, this helps me spend more time on the blogs of people I really like and enjoy. I have created a list of people whose blogs I should visit regularly and this helps me stay organized. You're in the list :-*

I'm compiling a list of my favorites too. I think it's just a matter of getting used to how Steemit works. We are so used to literally being FED info through our social media feeds, now when it's truly decentralized (no one choosing what we see), we have a LOT to sort through and organize.

I still like it better than anywhere else though.

Yeah I like it better than other social media too. I have quit Twitter and my Facebook use has become quite limited too so it is Steemit mainly and a bit of Facebook here and there.

I still use Twitter for news and Instagram for eye candy. But Facebook? I simply can't handle it. It's like a playground for the worst people. Or at least those are the posts that Facebook wants me to see.

I will keep Facebook for Messenger. That feature is SUPER handy. 😍

Love you, girl! You're always on your A-game. This is great stuff. I haven't visited you in like a week....or more. I need to keep better tabs! I'm not supporting my steemit friends like I should! It's been a crazy week. Shame shame shame. Especially when there's good posts out there like this one to acknowledge. :0)

Awe! Thanks, @littlescribe!

I'm the same way. In fact, I was thinking about a post reminding everyone (me included) that Steemit isn't set up like other social media.

For example, on Fakebook, NO MATTER when I signed in the first things in my feed would be folks I interacted with the most (or that they wanted me to see...). This pretty well ensured I'd see family and good friend posts regardless of if they posted yesterday or two minutes prior.

On Steemit our feeds show us what's happening in REAL TIME. So, unless I'm on exactly when you're posting, I'm gonna miss it. 😕

Really, the ONLY way I see things is when folks comment on MY posts. That's a sudden (friendly) reminder that I've haven't been there for a while. I end up going to their blog and playing 'catch up'... and somehow, I feel oh-so-guilty. 😕

Until some super smart dev creates a way for us to have favorites or something, I NEED the reminders.

I mean, sure... after a few days I'll probably think about ya (if you've made an impression) and go check on ya. But, honestly, commenting and interacting is the way.

I'm not as good at it yet as I'd like to be. But.... I'm working on it. 😍

Thank you again for watching my videos! I feel like they keep getting better, from all aspects. I'm excited to see what I'm putting out in a month. 😉

I think it's actually OK this way. It's like Costco--how they change up the layout of the groceries so you don't go to the same aisle to get the same stuff. Forces customers out of their comfort zone so they spot goods they may not otherwise.

But the best way is really in the comments. And chatrooms. I try to just stay connected with my favs, but I have so many, I forget some weeks....

I like that. Being forced to try new things. Cause sometimes my zone of comfort is downright inviting!

this can get you flagged bud...

Pure insanity if you can resist the lure of them for that many years! I stay away from them because i have such a love hate relationship with them.

For real. Me too. I'll talk smack... but then eat them secretly in the closet...😜

Isn't is so true though!

If I had a 3 year old twinkie in my cabinet, I would not hesitate to scarf that rotten little bugger down if I was on a "Must have cake" rampage. As a 'Boomer' who grew up on Sugar packed cereal for breakfast and school lunches that consisted of a bologna sandwich, a piece of fruit and a Hostess treat (of which I only ate the Hostess treat), I have no fear of the infamous Twinkie. If I am still alive and kicking after the crap I ate through the late 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's...I must be invincible. One more rotten Twinkie isn't going to make too much difference at this point, but I really would prefer a nice fresh...yummy doughnut, LOL!!!!

Bwhahaha!
I TOTALLY agree. Sometimes ya need cake, even if it's not the best cake.

its looking good , but in India we cannot find them i have to come their to taste it... ;-)

@adityajainxds #thealliance

You're not missing too much. I mean... they ARE delicious. But somehow they also are strangely unreal. Lol! It's hard to describe....

I actually made one from scratch (so MUCH better for you) and they turned out pretty great. It's the cream filling that does it. 😋

I never, ever ate a Twinkie or even suspect what they taste like.

But on tv, they're everywhere... thank you imported international television :P

Lol! Ya know, me and the hubs were talking about that recently. How we are all connecting with each other around the world and learning cool things about everyday life in other places. Should we start doing a sort of SNACK SWAP? Like I make a box of USA stuff and send it to somewhere else and in return they send a box to me. Then we both do unboxing videos TASTING everything. I think it could be fun.... But I think most things can be fun. 😉
