Last night I hooked up with @daywoo0311 and @borntofly we all took the guns out and did some shooting. @faitherz33 was a little nervous to shoot the AR, which made @poeticangel nervous too, but when Addie pulled the trigger on it for the first time, she had a huge smile.
My son, @solidusstreams, is a hawkeye with the pistol and the rifle. I didn't have the camera out and recording while he was shooting the pistol, but he blew up the ceramics that he was shooting at. I had made some ceramics stuff in my class this past semester and some of it looked like crap, so I decided we were going to shoot it up.
@daywoo0311 brought some empty freon tanks out that were shooting at with the rifle, but the rounds were going right through. We were hoping for something cool to happen, but it didn't do anything special.
Well, I hope that you enjoy the video. Pictures are in the process of being edited. Thanks for stopping by and checking the post out.

I like that. I really like that. I like good instruction AND good students. I love to see that nobody put their finger on the trigger until they were ready to fire.
That's just a cool video of a cool group. Thanks for sharing it.
it is so strange to see that you can just go out with family to shoot :) i see you said @daywoo0311 is an instructor, you can see he knows what he is doing. interesting video
Thanks. It is weird that we can just go to an open area like this and go shoot. It is a good way to spend some time as a family and teach proper gun safety as well.
nice
nice bro
Thanks
haha, I wish I could have shot some of my ceramic pieces. All them cups with walls an inch thick....
family fun day,,,,, woot!!! great to see happy, healthy, families bonding and having fun together
Thank you. We had an awesome time together.
please watch my video
That was so so beautiful to watch. You guys had a lot of fun. Great family outing. Great drills. I've never held a gun and I'm already feeling like I can take down a target 200m away from your drills. Hahahaha. I'm in Nigeria and guns are such no-go area here for non military folks who are also law abiding. But I shoot a lot in my imagination though 😀 Great guys and ladies you got there. Beautiful family!
Thank you. I appreciate your comment. My buddy @daywoo0311 is actually a qualified firearms instructor.
There is nothing better than a good day shooting with the family. Good job guys and gals!
Thanks brother. We had a great time. It was my wife and daughter's first time shooting a rifle.
I laughed so hard when your wife made the first shot with the pistol. The surprise in the voice. Yes, great times.
lol
That looks fun! You are on Dtube again, woohoo~ awesome video! :)
Thanks. We had an awesome time and then went home for some drinks after.
What camera are you using to film? The quality looks amazing! Also great shooting! Looks a lot like the high desert in southern CA. We used to go shooting there in the middle of the desert, haha. Awesome!
I can guess it's something with a pretty fast lens, like an f/1.4(?) But more important is the framing, the focusing, controlling the exposure, wiring for good audio, and then the almighty post production. So I'll not be wrong to say it's a bit beyond “what camera are you using to film.” ☺️
Haha thanks guess I should have said what setup.
I use a Canon 5D Mark IV. I was using a 24-105 f/4 lens to shoot on. Thanks for the compliment on the film.
I tend to forget how great a lens the 24-105 f/4L lens is outdoors. Good to know.
Fun times! Love AR-15. Great for long range.
Ya this rifle was pretty nice and the scope was spot on.
Gun culture
Gun culture is fun culture.
God bless
Man that looks like a good time. So envious of you guys in the south. Took my boys to a virtual range and let them shoot an AR... but nothing like the real thing. Not too many options up here to do so. @poeticangel's reaction was priceless.
It was a lot of fun. Our daughter had never shot before so she had a blast. We are actually in the wild wild west, not the south so I think rules may even be less restrictive. The virtual ranges sound like a lot of fun. I have used some stuff like that in law enforecement for different training scenarios.
Yes, LOL and virtual hurts a lot less than simunition too. There's a local training company that opened up their facility to the public. It's not cheap but good for an afternoon. Next step is to get my wife out. If we go again I'll get some video.
That would be pretty fun to watch.
I was thinking of gettng my FOID card but im not 21
Its cool to see a whole family on steemit. I hope I can make a decent following on here and help my family out at the same time as having fun making content!
