Deranged Eats Episode 2 - The Chicken, Bacon, Almond Burger.

in #vlog6 years ago (edited)

I am going healthy with this episode. My buddy @kaliju had a close call with his health recently and it got me thinking about the way I was eating and I decided that something needed to change.

I recently started the Ketogenic diet with my wife @faitherz33. Over the post month or so that I have been doing it, except for the short break while in Vegas, I have lost a total of about 20 pounds. The best thing about the Keto diet is that I can eat as much meats and cheese as I want.

So with this episode of Deranged Eats I got some fresh chicken breast, bacon and almonds. Chopped all of them up and threw them into a bowl. Seasoned them to what I thought would taste good and then put it all in the meat grinder. I didn't have a meat grinder so I had to go to the store and get the attachment for my KitchenAid and boy is that thing awesome. I have used it so many times since this and it can grind up all sorts of meats and mix them together.

After you grind the chicken mixture up, you form it into patties and grill like normal. I can't have buns with the Keto diet, so I had a lettuce wrapped burger and had avocados that I added on top. It was delicious. Feel free to give it a try and let me know how it went for you.

Thanks for checking the video out. I am thinking up stuff for the next episode. If you have any ideas drop a suggestion in the comments. As always upvotes are appreciated. Filmmaking takes a lot of time and upvotes on projects like these motivate us filmmakers to continue to bring them to the Steemit platform. Thank you.

DUDE! This was awesome! Another master piece my friend! haha I was totally fixed on the dogs, and then when you said wash your hands, I was like it would be so funny if he had the dogs lick his hands....and then it happened. Boom! haha Great job :) Loved it!

LOL, thanks for watching. I was just lucky my dogs didn't steal anything when my back was turned. My lab took a chicken breast one night from the counter top when I had my back turned. He is just a big fatty.

LOL yes you are lucky. And that is very funny you got a food thief on your hands. LOL :)

Just saw this! Loved the video and probably the best original (and the only of its kind?) on dtube period.

Great content. Ill try to make these this weekend. Following.

Let me know how you like it. I thought it was delicious.

Mach.

I was waiting for one of the dogs to grab a patty and run! At least you let them have a taste. LOL

My husky knows better, but the lab, he is fat and will try and steal food any chance he gets.

Amazing cooking.....to be honest.. i like your cutting style....

Thank you. I am glad you liked it.

La parrilla estaba un poco puerca, por lo demás, un vídeo cojonudo!!! xD
Te sigo, seguro que lo disfrutare ;)

These look amazing!! I love that you ground up the chicken and bacon together. I used to have a KitchenAid mixer. It was one of the most used tools in our kitchen. I will have to get a new one eventually.

Clean your knife every once in a while, will ya?

This Keto diet sounds a bit like the old Atkins diet. All protein no carbs. I've seen it in a few posts. Seems popular. :)
The burgers look good.

oh wowowow! so good my man! loved your video concepts.

damn i wished i had a kitchen aid. they are so poes (tell you what that means some time 😉) expensive. goddamit!

your doggos looked like they were drooling all over the place. must be torture to watch that kinda of meaty bonanza if you are a woof.

Looks pretty good, I have made some cooky burgers in my time.

I'm inspired!

I'm going to try this tonight, except I'll also stuff the meat into baby peppers and then grill the little bastards. I'll be sure to spank the chicken as well, as it really adds something special to the flavor! 😉

Awesome stuff Wes! keep at it!
