Awesome tip on free software Jeff. This will be really useful for those looking to upgrade their software from Moviemaker and/or iMovie.
Thanks @captainbob! Couldn't have done it without you!
Nice brother!! I personally use davinci! Do you also use that?
Winny out...for now ;)
I haven't used it but I've heard good things. I mostly use premiere and after effects.
I liked your post and it is very helpful for me.
oh wow, never knew of this one. I'll keep this on retainer for when people ask me for free editing programs.
Thanks man! Great vlog
Thanks Kevin! I loved your Melbourne tour! It brought back some good memories.
glad to hear. Have a good day!
Thank you so much! You have no idea how much your content is helping me lol :)
I'm not so good at all this video stuff so keep it up! It's really helpful.
Thank you Kaylin! I'm glad it helps. Let me know if there's anything specific you'd like to learn more about. I try to post about things that would have helped me when I was starting out. But i'm never sure if it's actually helpful while I'm making it, so this means a lot.
How does one go about doing that?
Getting the program? The link to the Hitfilm site is in the description.
I was always happy with my 13” MacBook Pro not only with the easy things but also with video encoding via Handbrake while doing couple of other tasks. But since I started video editing especially long videos with many cuts and efffects I’m facing more and more stuttering. I might upgrade next year to an iMac or a new model of Mac Pro if there will be something interesting. But that’s another topic.
Thanks for showing us this software. I will definitely check this one out as iMovie is already a little bit too limited for me and I’m still looking for a student who can get me a cheap copy of the Apple Pro Apps bundle^^ Since the day I get Final Cut Pro I will need and alternative and this might be the one.
Thanks Matthias! Definitely give it a try! But If it you don't like it, or it bogs down your computer too much, @myndnow said he uses "Davinci Resolve" They have a free program also and I haven't tried it but I've heard good things. One may work better than the other for your system. Hope that helps man! Good luck on getting the pro apps bundle and the new computer!
