10 days without surfing seems like such a long time. I would be getting anxious if I wasn't able to surf for that long. Nice ride on the one wave. You are lucky you can surf without a 4/3 wetsuit on.
The water is still quite warm and I very much enjoy not wearing the long suit, so you hit the nail :-)
These 10 days seemed endless to me. I shouldn't travel to places where I can't surf anymore, haha!

Great video and pictures! Looks like so much fun :) I have been surfing a few times but most of the time I end up under the waves instead of on the waves. I have not yet tried surfing here in California but I look forward to doing it! Here you can often see dolphins and seals when surfing. But there are also some sharks around and that scares me... your video really motivated me to go surf though π
Haha yeah well diving is part of surfing, too :-) During every session I drink a L'OT of salty water.
Depending on the spot, sharks can be an issue. We don't have any big / dangerous ones here still. That may change with the climate change (increasing water temperature), but for the moment we're safe.
I'm happy I could motivate you to reconsider the surfing idea :-)

Haha yes, I remember swallowing a lot of salty water too! I would definitely surf a lot more if it wasn't for the sharks. It's a bit silly though since there is a higher chance of getting struck by lightning than attacked by a shark. But I have a really strong imagination so I'm sure I will see sharks everywhere :D
That is truely one of the things i miss, the feeling of hitting the wave just right and the chats and friendly atmosphere between the sets... but its hard finding good sets in switzerland (although the slopes in winter are amazing)

I love Switzerland for skiing. When I was young - and my family and I were living in Germany - we went to "Saas Fee" almost every winter. I'd love to travel there again some day! Do you know that place?
I'm living on Lanzarote (Canary Islands). The spot in the video is called "Famara".
I thought i recognised it... I worked as a rep on lanza for a year and was often in famara, really good waves although the wind can be annoying at times
i was a holiday representative for Neckermann in the touristy area... Famara was my escape from mass tourism... although I have to say I liked the Algarve better for surfing and the life in general. Still Lanzarote has some very fond memories for me
