RE: Vocab-ability–159 (nom, nym = name) – A More Powerful Vocabulary (earn UpVotes with “Vocab Practice” exercise)

MY VOCAB PRACTICE.
1-Nomenclature-:The committee of the Royal Geographical Society settled the existing nomenclature of the three great oceans.
2-Nominate-:We expect the party to nominate him for president.
3-Anonymous-:His was just another anonymous face in the crowd.
4-Synonymous-:Its body hugging tights and leotards became synonymous with dance.
5-Acronym-:Others say the name is an acronym, formed from the initials of three of the first amateur operators.
6-Demonym-:I don't think that there is a standard demonym for Cleves.

Sort:

#1, #4, and #5 are plagiarized. (I did not bother checking the other ones.)

You apparently copied them directly from other sites that come up near the top of a Google search.

DO NOT PLAGIARIZE. When you take part in Vocab Practice, compose YOUR OWN sample sentences. That's the say to learn, and that's the say to earn.
