MY VOCAB PRACTICE:
- Patient. adj. I'm patient with my students, because they need help and guidance, not criticism.
- Patient. noun. The nurse had so many patients, she was very tired when she completed her 12 hour shift.
- Pathetic. The poor little dog looked so pathetic in the animal shelter all tattered and matted fur. The doggie looked better after a bath and some grooming.
- Antipathy. There was a great deal of antipathy at her mother's reading of the will because the family loathed one another.
- Compassion. Her husband expressed little compassion as he watched his wife give birth. He told her to be quiet, that she was making too much noise.
- Sympathy. There were feelings of great sympathy and kindness towards the woman who lost her son in the murder, during the trial.
- Antipathy: There's a great deal of antipathy expressed in some people who don't understand those who are different from themselves.
Good work!
