MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. He never thought something so simple could please him so much.
  2. I have just returned from a pleasant vacation at the seaside.
  3. The placid surface of the lake.
  4. Undeserved praise from his boss has made him complacent.
  5. She sensed nothing she could say would placate him.
