MY VOCAB PRACTICE

The matriarch customarily ranks second in hierarchy to the patriarch, but many cultures place male offspring of a certain age or maturity above women in all matters of decision making.
5.) Matrix
Early pioneers in the fields of mathematics and physics formed the matrix for the advanced computers that most of us now take for granted, despite how integral they've become in our day-to-day affairs.

I guess when you already have a kid of your own, you develop that MATERNAL instinct that will guide you in keeping your child safe and sound.
As soon as my water broke, I and my husband went to the nearest MATERNITY clinic immediately.
If you commit MATRICIDE just to grab all of your mother's money and properties, I don't know what to call you - an animal or a demon.
My great grandmother had always acted as the MATRIARCH of the family; she maintained an authoritative aura, but never failed to be compassionate at times it called for one.
I have tried a hundred times to make sense of this MATRIX but to no avail.
