MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. I believe any catastrophe can be properly managed with the aid of a functional early warning system.
  2. The disclosure of the CEO terminal illness was the catalyst for the downward spiral of the company's share price.
  3. The ailing spinster was able to catapult himself to the finish line, to everyone's amazement.

In some cases, the impending death of a CEO might be seen as a catalyst for greater growth and development of a company. (Yep, I'm not a fan of C-suiters.)
