Well,
we have to realize the more people go into crypto the more the governments get nervous and increase regulations, best example the last days India.
SEC is now starting to investigate in blockchains..
So the voice guys do the right thing, please the regulations and beware the project, and theirselves of course, getting huge penalties or go to jail.
Steem was there before the regulations came, but I could bet, in near future Steem will be confronted with the same.
About the bot system all is said already.
And, remember, every time we use our credit cards we do a kind of KYC.
The real background of voice is to create UBI, so we earn some money and don't spend like with credit cards, I think that's worth it.
We will see, exciting times anyway
Have a great day
Tom

Originally, Steem was touted as direct opposition to the control grid systems - in a similar way to how Bitcoin's decentralisation is intended to be a bastion of freedom. Either the people make a stand or their children die in a ditch. Brutal, but history shows this to be the case.
Let's pray to God this doesn't happen. Do you think anything can be done to prevent it? Does anyone know where the Steem blockchain "resides" (i.e., in which "jurisdiction")? I know that Steemit.com is based in the US and the platform itself technically needs to abide by the respective laws...
