RE: My attempt using voice-to-text

in #voicetotextlast year (edited)

Good job, Eliana! Voice-to-text technology has made a lot of progress in recent years.

I tried using voice-to-text software way back in 2008 or something. In those days it consisted of a CD-ROM (is that what we called them??) and a head-set. First, you had to train the software to get used to your voice. It was good for its day, but nothing like as accurate as what you were able to produce, so I had to spend quite a bit of time correcting the errors. I'm a fast typist, so in the end I gave up using the voice-to-text and went back to typing.

And don't beat yourself up too much about falling behind on content creation. I know exactly what you mean about getting tired after work - and that includes "light" teaching days when I'm only teaching mornings and with no parenting to do when I get home! LOL! Yeah, I'm a real slacker, he he, and have lots of excuses too (because we Brits love making excuses).

Hang in there!
