People have been predicting doom and gloom for as far back as can be remembered. I know in my lifetime I can think of a long list. Those who have understood the situation with the fiat dollar, we've had our own version. From the first steps into of the current version of the paper we call "money" in 1971. There have been predictions of certain economic disaster ahead. Gold and silver were the things to rely on and so, over many years I've seen people prep for the worst. Beans, bullets and bullion have more than a little dust on them when it comes to the disasters predicted.
However, although I'm not one who suggests I know what the future of the world economy is I'm observant enough to know when danger is upon us. I don't know if it will be one big collapse ahead or just a tick up on the flame that is boiling the water in the pot society plays the role of the frog in. My current belief is that a major downturn is upon us or right around the corner. It may be a year or two away at most but it's fairly certain it will happen and this is why this time it's different.
Stock Market - It now goes up on bad news. The wall street crowd has become addicts of the loose credit that allows companies to lose money consistently yet be considered a worthy business model. In this respect, when bad news hits the wire, stocks go up in anticipation of more easy credit.
Banking - The quiet deceptive nature of the actions they are taking. Negative interest rates. In 2008, we had a economic downturn announced right after the elections. They devised TARP... $800 billion in corporate and banking welfare. The Federal Reserve announced QE and they eventually pumped $10-20 trillion in new money into the system. They didn't do that this time, they quietly are doing something very similar but using a new vocabulary. In addition, negative interest rates are essentially a quiet version of BAIL-INs. It's counter to any basic understanding of the time value of money. The opposite of Capitalism... essentially the end of Capitalism in it's entirety.
Government Statistics and information being corrupted. One look at Shadowstats.com or the Chapwoodindex.com demonstrates how far the US government is willing to stretch the truth. Inflation has been over 10% for the past five years yet the US govt's corrupted statistics have it at less than 2%. The Social security recipients are being robbed blatantly at this point. Over a 10 year period they will be robbed of nearly 43% of their purchasing power over that period. 70% over 20 years. Unemployment is even worse. Were talking about a rate that probably is in the 22-25% range and has been since 2008. And if we look at things like debt, GDP, job creation they apparently are just making things up as they go. More accurate statistics show the US has been in a recession since the turn of the century. The average American has been losing more and more for two decades... Interesting how that coincides with the engagement of perpetual War.
American Empire collapsing. Turmoil spreading around the world. Military deployed in nearly every country. The US military presence is a sign of fear. The puppet governments around the world who rely on US influence and money are starting to feel the stress of being corrupted by an obvious tyrant. Add in the mix Donald Trump and his long list of arrogant, un-thoughtful and less than mindful behavior and we see many world leaders and populations around the world unhappy, to say the least.
The presence of a successor... China. China is the technocrat's wet dream. It's people have become the epitome of 1984 and Aldous Huxley's dystopian predictions. In addition, China is already spreading the wealth out to many of the nations around the world, they've established a significant presence and currency and seem to be much more rational than the Americans. The Chinese are seen as statesmen, the Western politicians and diplomats, arrogant profiteers.
The technocracy's developments. Social credit scores, facial recognition, social media monitoring, 5g collection grid. Despite promising the populations benefits, most of the technology being deployed has a darker side that serves the controllers. People for the most part are unaware of the entirety of the ramifications, but the future is now. It's here! They are ready to exploit that ignorance and timing is important.
Social order. The ridiculousness of people's points of view. Saul Alinski's book "Rules for Radicals" points out the usefulness of "useful idiots" and how to go about undermining the existing system. Just take a look, enough people have been dumbed down, are obviously misinformed, and irrational. Many have incorporated it into a lifestyle! With a majority of people who are willing to vote in this condition... it's really all the social engineers need.
Loneliness, lack of trust, isolation. Society has become so upside down and people have been conditioned with so much fear and divide and conquer, that many are simply withdrawing into the distractions.
Human weakness. Most have no clue how they are being taken advantage of. With so much ignorance and inability to communicate due to a fear of conflict, people aren't getting enough feedback to correct obvious problems. But even more significantly is the ignorance of how the subconscious mind can be programmed and conditioned. And that can be enhanced via things like sleep deprivation, stress, bad nutrition and illness. All of these are currently prevalent!
Stupid people are front and center. Values are at an all time low or inconsistent. They are pulling out the stops... using children as leaders. The recent Global Warming presentation at the UN should be a serious alarm bell. The fact their pulling out all the stops to get the final legislation written across the world to get populations agreeable to agreeing that they are in essence, the big problem... and if they only stopped breathing, the world would be a better place... A big red flag!
Information is out of the bag... and they're wanting to put it back... But we have a window of opportunity. It has also become clear that the benefits of the internet, the access to good information is a hindrance to the powers that be. The silencing of voices is only going to get worse. And as such, a window of opportunity for free people to make a difference will close.
Problem - Reaction - Solution. This has been used over and over again. "You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before." ~ Rahm Emanuel
There's usually some crisis that occurs every decade that stirs people to seriously have to change something about their daily lives. The collapse of the USSR, 9/11, The economic crash of 2008... we're overdue!
There is a better way! There are many solutions out there with few easy paths to the information. This is the reasoning behind why the Local Dynamo project and Ethical Emergence course is important. This is why we need to strengthen our community and build the bonds between good people. It is going to be imperative and the clock is ticking!
I strive to be a Peacemaker, an Entrepreneur and a Ambassador for Great Ideas (ie a Problem solver). I also wish to be a Poet, a Mentor and an Ethicist one day. At times I struggle to communicate the passions I have but I endeavor to do so meaningfully from my heart to others. All as I enjoy my life as a never-ending vacation in a place I adore. I care about what I do, I care about the people I do it with and I leave the rest to fall into place. ~ MikeonFire
