Who Votes?

in #voting6 years ago

If you are on welfare: You shouldn't vote because you will only vote for more welfare. This is a conflict of interest

If you work for the government: you should not vote because you will only vote for bigger government benefits. This is a conflict of interest

If you don't own property: You should not vote because you will vote to take property off others. This is immoral because without property rights (including self ownership) then we will constantly steal from each other and call this OK.

If you are uninterested in politics: You should not vote because you are not giving thought to the consequences of your vote. You are rolling the dice for the whole society because you couldn't be bothered to be informed.

I disagree there as it stands anyways. We do push our laws on everyone. Someone on welfare is not excluded from the draft, nor does everyone who owns property own a brewery or a meth-lab, making his views on the property rights of those that do not more informed than anyone without property.
As for property though, doesnt everyone own property and if its just their own body?
I am happy to have such discussions though.

What the fuck.

This is the only thing I could agree with.
