One thing I mentioned in my introductions post is my budding interest and pursuit in videogame development. The year 2017 was pretty good for me as a musician; I had decided to take the time to branch out and really get to the know my local scene. In by doing so I met a fellow named Corey/ComAdore. We both shared a passion for Electronica music, both listening and creating and come to find out, we both shared quite a few other passions as well. One of which being gaming.

I'm not sure if I asked to be on the team, or if he asked, or most likely it just evolved naturally that way; soon I find myself in Corey's lair, wearing VR goggles for the first time and being utterly blown away. I am walking through scenes of a spaceship in a game I am now developing music for. He switches it over to a few exciting and fun games, showcasing a fraction of the possibilities that VR gaming holds. I've been a gamer forever and I took pause and asked myself 'is this is where gaming is going?' Holy crap man.

I received a Nintendo, the first one 'NES classic', new on Christmas in 1986 when I was 2 1/2. Ever since then I've been basically hooked to gaming. Going from 2D sprite gaming to full motion 3D was a jump in gaming I fondly remember well of the mid to late 90s. But this VR gaming...this takes things to a whole new level.

Ever since I was a toddler in diapers, I have always known two things. I have a proclivity for creating music and a proclivity for video games. So I was more than thrilled at the opportunity to develop music for this VR game by my nature alone. But VR gaming is also in a budding, new stage of life. I can remember when the term mobile gaming didn't exist, and now its a dominating force. Who hasn't heard of Angry Birds, Flappy Bird and Pokemon Go!? Similar to mobile gaming, VR is slowly being received by the masses. It shows no signs of slowing down, so even if growth is slow, growth in VR gaming is there and exists. I see VR gaming as radically different as a land line phone is to a flip cell phone. No, scratch that, from a land line rotary phone to a smartphone. It changes the game.

I love game changers.

In summary, please like this post and subscribe to me for more details. This VR game isn't some lose ideas hand written on paper; it has fully functional scenes with interactive objects. This thing has great promise, so I plan on putting some heavy effort into it. The game already feels miles ahead of baby steps in my opinion, but what do I know, I'm just the musician monkey in the corner.

So with that said, here is a little teaser of music I am working on for this game.
