There three things that clouds my imagination prior to my joining hive: distractions, where to invest my time and knowledge as well as finding another source of income. In terms of distractions it wasn't from the female folks but from notifications from Facebook and other social medias. One these notifications sets in I'll spend much time viewing videos and responding to comments that never added any income to me. I've looked for an avenue to invest the little knowledge I have and make an additional income from it. But all I could receive from my friends that are into crypto mining is that the process is too difficult. To have an extra source of income can in only with little businesses that never last longer than too months. Hive has met all those imaginations.
Hive has both a source of income and information that was lacking previously. It has shaped the way I create content on a daily basis. I learn new ways of editing and arranging my post and in turn my everyday life. I don't know the last time I spent an hour on Facebook and other social medias. This is not because they're not good, but because my focus has shifted from time wasting on those medias to creating reasonable content that'll help the Hive Blockchain grow. The freedom expressed in the hive blockchain has added more confidence in expressing myself in difficult as intimate topics that were not possible on other social media networks.
The Power of Information
You'll underestimate how much you don't know until you read a post about a trending issues you thought you're aware of. If we'll swallow our pride to face the realities of our ignorance, then we're ready to accept new informations. Informations are not there just to full your head but to help you create solutions to the unending challenges of life. Today we're faced with the ravaging covid-19 pandemic and what the world needs right now is the possible solution and not recognition of ones degree certificate. Prior to joining hive, I just concentrate on general information about the covid-19 pandemic, but since I started reading peoples post on the subject matter, I now know that it's more an just a pandemic.
Hive and Value System
Once you take the hive blockchain as part of your life, then you'll learn a lot from it most especially values. One of the resounding information I've gotten from hive is that:
- Engagement and consistency is key to surviving on the blockchain. You might think that this is only applicable on the hive blockchain, but that's not true. It's actually a daily life value. Just like greeting elderly people in Nigeria is very important, so is consistency and engagement. This is because anything you do with consistency becomes part of you. You must have conversations with people in order to get familiar with them.
- zero tolerance for plagiarism. This particular fact have brought me to a point of thinking and rethinking anytime I want to create content. So I've devised a means of checking plagiarism in my post myself. Please don't ask me how. Zero tolerance for plagiarism is very important in every spheres of life. The idea is to keep one away from stealing and taking credit for other peoples work.
- There are good and bad times on Hive. Many people think that everything in hive is smooth and sweet. Hive experience have thought me that there's time for everything under the earth. I've over read peoples post on LeoFinance and the state of hive in the crypto market and the most surprising one was that hive was about $0.10 early last year. Meeting obstacles in life is part of life as having the kind of experience on hive is also part of the blockchain. Remember that nothing good comes easily.
Thanks for reading my post.
