Life is like a mirage, certain things appear to be true but in reality it doesn't looks like how it seems. It is easier for people to pretend that all is well in their life when they are actually going through hell.
I met a couple one day and I really admired them for their intimacy, affection and love for each other. Always in their latest Toyota corolla driving to work and to church. Their relationship was something that everyone admired.
One day the guy had a serious complaint against his wife for the kind of treatment she is giving her at home. The marriage that I thought was made in heaven has been experiencing turbulences. Eventually the guy couldn't contain the situation anymore and had to back off.
This guy been a noble had tried to cope with whatever situation he was going through to ensure peaceful coexistence in the marriage. He could longer contain it. For all the times people thought all was well, all wasn't actually well.
Some people are good pretenders, they never show you their scars but only smiles and so before you think you the only one experiencing ill luck know that others are going through the worse.
Back at college people talk big about their family and their affluence and making me feel i was a loser and someone who wasn't doing well. After college I realised most of them had faked their identities and stories making it sound interesting. I felt bad in those days but it never hindered me from achieving my dreams because I was always focused.
You may be better off than the one you think is doing well than you. Often times we compare oursleves to others and wished to be them. Only you can see the need to concentrate on your life and avoid comparison you be going a one step in life.
Each day must be dedicated for working on yourself rather than having time for people. Don't be deceived by the kind of impression people put on, you never know the real story.
Be happy whether it is well or not, thank God for what you and what you haven't receive yet.
Encourage yourself whenever you are down and hey! remember your special and better than you think.
very good post, this can be a very good motivation for all of us. in this life, we must have a purpose, God is very dear to all his servants, which is important we must always be close to god. I am sure, God will always facilitate all our affairs, and will always make our life with full of happiness. Hopefully God will always take care of you.
God will surely take care of His own, thanks
Self content and self motivation are key elements for success. 'cause sometimes the people very close to us (Parents, Friends, Pastors, etc) disappoint us one way or the other. Again, we should avoid comparing our struggle to that of others. Life is a journey, and not a race. We are way better than we think, we just need to focus on ourselves, and work on improving ourselves academically, financially, socially, spiritually, etc everyday. By being consistent in working on ourselves, that is how we shall evolve into the "better self"
Improving ourselves to be better individuals should be our focus, thanks Kwadjo, that's a nice comment
Wow. What a writeup!
Just as David was taught encouraging himself, we also must learn to encourage ourselves as self motivation is key on the path of success.
We should keep our eyes fixed on the ultimate price: Christ Jesus. Learn His ways and make Him our first audience. He is our High Priest who can be touched with the feelings of our infirmities.
Let us keep moving. There is more to ourselves than we have discovered.
Thank you for sharing @collinz
