Happy father's Day

in #wafrica7 years ago (edited)

Today is a special day for dads so I join the world in celebrating all fathers who have always been there for their family including my humble father,it wouldn't have been possible without him to get to this stage in life.
I'm truly grateful, he has been an inspiration to me and he remains my greatest mentor.

So I want to take out time to talk about some of the Important Roles/responsibilities of a Dad. (Although Am not one yet LOL)
While almost any man can father a child, there is so much more to the important role of being dad in a child's life. Let's look at who father is, and why he is so important. Fathers are central to the emotional well-being of their children; they are are capable caretakers and disciplinarians.

A father should be able to comit himself to meet the needs of his family. He is the man-in-charge so the warfare of the family should be one of his responsibilities, although recently we are having our mothers take part in the warfare too as a result of civilization and it is infact a good work in progress in the areas of liberating women and getting them involved in the important aspects of life.

A father should be able to live a life worth imitating.😎
in Provebs 26:2 the Bible says train up a child in the way he should go and when he grows he will not depart from it.In other words direct your children in the right part so that when they grow they will not depart from it.It is a fact that children do not just learn from words they learn from actions, so be a good dad to your child so he can be a good dad to the coming generation there by making the world a better place.

A responsible dad needs to Love the mother of his children.😘😍
This do not only send a good message to the children it also makes you a mentor to them.they will see the world in a different way and they may likely learn to treat women better as they grow up for the male children and the females learn to be a good wife to their husbands.

A good father loves his children unconditionally.😍
There are a lot of messed up adults in the world who have “Daddy issues,” because they were raised in an environment where their fathers’ love was either absent or conditional and based upon performance (which isn’t really love). Children are very sensitive lads By your words and your actions, fathers should make sure their children are constantly aware of their love for them. They’re not perfect and neither are you, but love is perfect, so show your love as often as you can.

And finally learn to Discipline them.
There’s much more to discipline that just punishment (although punishment is sometimes an important aspect of it). children are hungry for healthy boundaries and they’re looking to you to protect and enforce those boundaries. It’s not the dads job to be a domineering drill sergeant, but it is his job to make sure there’s order, structure, positive affirmation for wise choices and negative consequences for poor choices.

You have a minor misspelling in the following sentence:

I'm truely grateful, he has been an inspiration to me and he remains my greatest mentor.
It should be truly instead of truely.
