Few people can correctly explain the importance between these two words "Goals" and "Objectives"so today I'd be writing on the differences of both.

Goals are defined as the lifelong aims, which an individual or entity endeavor to achieve something. It determines what the company is attempting to accomplish. Objective on the other hand are specific milestone which a person plans to achieve in a limited period. These are precise, measurable, time-based, actions that assist in the achievement of goal.

Goals are defined as the target or purpose that a person imagines or plans to accomplish or reach or to achieve in future. They are driving force that directs a person to make efforts to achieve it.

The aim or target which you must achieve within a limited period is known as objective. It is a step to reach a particular point. Objectives are easily measured when the target is achieved.

Having known the definition of both " Goals" and "Objective", their difference are:

  1. Goals are large in size while Objectives are medium or small on size.

  2. Goals are general intention or direction while Objectives are specific and precise.

  3. Goals are longer term while Objectives are shorter term.

  4. Goals are broad in scope while Objectives are narrow in scope.

  5. Goals are intangible or " Soft" while Objectives are tangible.

  6. Goals are abstract while Objectives are solid and concrete.

                      **CONCLUSIONS**

Although there is a difference between goals and objectives, objectives are the steps that you take to achieve your goal. So it will be wrong of we say that objectives are part of the goal. Goal involve lifelong ambition; it defines the destination where you want to see yourself after a particular period. The objectives are short term targets that you set to achieve something.
