Paradigm-shifting Forces such as cognitive technologies and the open talent economy are reshaping the future workforce, driving organizations to reconsider how they design jobs, organize work and plan for future growth. Driven by the acceleration of connectivity and cognitive technology, the nature of work is changing. As AI systems, robotics and cognitive tools grow in sophistication, almost every job is being reinvented, creating what many call the 'augmented workforce' - Deloitte.
3 months ago, @surfyogi introduced to the world the @WAfrica community on Steemit aim at exposing great contents from the shores of Africa and thrust them to other users from around the world.

As indicated in the comment above by Deloitte, the world is changing. Artificial intelligence? Robotics and cognitive tools are reshaping the future of workforce. Many still view the idea of augmented workforce as futuristic but at WAfrica, @surfyogi thought it relevant to bring this future of workforce to Africa now.
While most people are scared of losing their jobs to machines and robots, wise men are redefining their skills, so they will work together with machines to create a better future for us all.
The curation by the main @wafrica account is run mostly by a bot developed and maintained by @misrori. But we believe that both machines and humans have their place/roles in the work environment. It would be unwise to give certain important jobs of humans to machines. With this in mind, the @wafrica.curators account was created to complement the curation works by @wafrica.
How Does Curation Work At WAfrica
First, a user makes a post with at least 300 characters and a photo.
The @wafrica bot confirms that the post meets the criteria above, confirms the user is not blacklisted for repeated abuses and if this is confirmed, the WAfrica bot upvotes the post at the preset voting weight.
Curators from the WAfrica curation team read through the tag, checking for high quality contents and upvotes such using this @wafrica-curators account with higher voting weight.
The best six posts for the day is chosen as #Posts-of-the-day, while the three best posts for the week are chosen as the #Sunday-weekly winners.
