I have never heard about that either. Makes sense, as it gives the native plants a chance to grow. Hopefully, the ones that you WANT grow best! Lol 😆

Where I am in Thailand, you have to continually cut the grass to help keep the snakes and other unwanted pests under control.

Snakes are an unwelcomed visitor here as well. We definitely have a few poisonous species here. I usually only need to mow once or twice a month any longer than that I will definitely get notice.
