🍬 1/3 cup brown sugar
🍬 1/3 cup white sugar
🌽 2 tablespoons cornstarch
🍋 1 tablespoon lemon juice
🌰 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
🌱 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
🥐 2 sheets of puff pastry
🥚 1 egg, beaten

🍚 2 cups powdered sugar
🥛 4 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
🍦 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1- Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2- Prepare the Filling:

  • In a medium pan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  • Add the diced apples, blueberries, and strawberries to the pan.
  • Stir in the brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch, and lemon juice.
  • Cook the mixture, stirring occasionally, for about 3-4 minutes until the fruit begins to soften. Remove from heat and let it cool.

3- Prepare the Pastry:

  • Roll each sheet of puff pastry slightly and cut each into four squares.
  • Brush the edges of each square with the beaten egg.

4- Assemble the Turnovers:

  • Spoon about two tablespoons of the filling onto each pastry square.
  • Fold the pastry over to form a triangle and seal the edges with a fork.
  • Place the turnovers on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the tops with the remaining beaten egg.

5- Bake:

  • Bake the turnovers in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until they are golden brown.

6- Make the Glaze:

  • While the turnovers are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream (or milk) in a small bowl until smooth.

7- Finish:

  • Allow the turnovers to cool for about 5 minutes after baking.
  • Drizzle the glaze generously over the top of the turnovers.
