Soon, I'll be moving out of my current place, which honestly isn’t a bad thing. I’ve been discussing plans with my mother and sister, as they’re looking to make some major changes—things like different forms of investing, shifting their purchasing habits, and other financial adjustments. I support almost everything they’ve proposed, so I talked to my mother about the possibility of moving back in with her.
My mother has mentioned wanting to retire in Puerto Rico, but my sister and I both agree that’s not the best idea. We currently own a manufactured house, but the original plan was to relocate it. However, my sister and I have also been considering buying our own properties, though we don’t have quite enough money for that yet. Instead, we’re exploring the idea of purchasing cheap land or a rundown house and developing it ourselves—essentially creating multiple buildings on one property so we each have our own spaces. One for me, my sister (and her daughter) and my mother.
For now, my mother and I are working out an agreement for me to move back in. Since I’ve been saving a lot of money, the plan is to continue building up my savings for major expenses. First, we want to buy a used car that my sister and I can share. After that, the focus will be on securing our future home, selling the manufactured house, and starting the process of building on our new property.
This time I feel like things will finally work out with all of us.
