Yeah, i think its a great strategy to experiment with. And it would be pretty easy to see results after. The web2 influencer could be given free onboarding passes linked to their account. You could see how many joined using this link, how active new accounts are and if they stay/invest. I think there are lots of mid level influencers who would most likely join just for getting a big delegation during the trial. The key would be starting with web2 influencers that already fit Hive.
It is difficult to impress influencers with the Hive audience. The token price chart also doesn’t look particularly impressive :-)
Moreover, Hive’s censorship resistance didn’t hold up even during COVID, at the height of the global censorship campaign. Some tried to use Hive, but left due to downvoting, which is effectively just another form of censorship.
The only way to bring established Web2 influencers to Hive is by offering them unique value that they can’t find anywhere else.
Yeah, i see you have a downvoter too. The downvote reality certainly makes things tricky. And i know hive can be a grumpy bunch, but i still think with proper vetting... a few influencers could be tempted to encourage their audience to come try Hive... the key would be finding the best fits for a trial.
