The first mention of Anak and his sons — Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai — occurs in Numbers 13 when Moses sends twelve spies to scout the land of Canaan. The spies report that the land is flowing with milk and honey but is also inhabited by formidable people, some of whom descend from the Nephilim, a mysterious group of beings often translated as “giants” (Genesis 6:1–4). The spies say they felt like grasshoppers in comparison to the sons of Anak, who were described as very tall and robust (Numbers 13:33). What do you think? Did this giant's exist?
