With the rich taste of espresso complemented by the sweet notes of almond, this drink is a luxurious treat for any coffee aficionado.
Ingredients:
Double shot of espresso (approximately 2 ounces)
2 cups of ice
3 teaspoons of sugar
2 ounces of almond syrup (or 1/4 teaspoon of almond extract as a substitute)
1/2 cup of milk
Whipped cream, for garnish
Chocolate shavings, for garnish
Cherries, for garnish
Sliced almonds (optional), for garnish
Equipment:
Espresso machine (like a Gaggia Classic)
Portafilter for espresso machine
Blender
Glasses for serving
Instructions:
Brew the espresso: Start by brewing a double shot of espresso using your espresso machine. Set it aside once brewed.
Add ice to the blender: In a blender, add 2 cups of ice, which will be the base for your chilled almond chino.
Sweeten the ice: Sprinkle 3 teaspoons of sugar over the ice.
Add almond flavor: Pour in 2 ounces of almond syrup over the sugared ice. If using almond extract, add approximately 1/4 teaspoon for that rich almond essence.
Pour in milk: Add 1/2 cup of milk to the blender.
Combine with espresso: Pour the freshly brewed double shot of espresso into the blender.
Blend: Secure the lid and blend the mixture until it’s frothy and well-combined.
Serve: Pour the Iced Almond Chino into two large serving glasses.
Garnish: Top each glass with a dollop of whipped cream, followed by chocolate shavings or sliced almonds for a delightful crunch.
Add final touch: Place a cherry on top for that extra special finishing touch.
Enjoy: Serve immediately and enjoy the luxurious taste of your Iced Almond Chino!

Cooking Tips:
For a dairy-free version, substitute with almond milk or any plant-based milk of your choice.
To prevent your drink from becoming too diluted, make coffee ice cubes ahead of time and use them instead of regular ice.
Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar according to your preference.
