Inspired by the vibrant flavors of Mexican cuisine, these Angus steak fajitas are sure to tantalize your taste buds. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, this dish is a delightful combination of juicy steak and fresh vegetables, wrapped in a warm tortilla.

Ingredients

🥩 1 lb Angus steak
🌶️ 1 green bell pepper
🌶️ 1 red bell pepper
🧅 1 large yellow onion
🧄 1 garlic clove
🌶️ 1 hot jalapeño (optional)
🧂 1 teaspoon garlic powder
🌿 1 teaspoon cumin
🌶️ 1 teaspoon chili powder
🌶️ 1 teaspoon paprika
🥩 1 teaspoon steak seasoning
🧅 1 teaspoon onion powder
🌿 1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley
🧂 Sea salt to taste
🧂 Pepper to taste
🧀 1 cup cheese of choice (mozzarella and jack recommended)


Instructions

1- Preparation:

  • Slice the Angus steak into thin strips.
  • Julienne the green and red bell peppers and the yellow onion.
  • Mince the garlic clove and finely chop the hot jalapeño if using.

2- Season the Steak:

  • In a bowl, combine the garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, paprika, steak seasoning, onion powder, parsley, sea salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Add the sliced steak to the bowl and thoroughly coat with the seasoning mix. Set aside to marinate for at least 15 minutes.

3- Cooking the Vegetables:

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add a tablespoon of olive oil.
  • Add the sliced onions and garlic, sautéing until translucent.
  • Add the bell peppers and jalapeño, cooking until the vegetables are tender yet vibrant in color.

4- Cooking the Steak:

  • Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and increase the heat to high.
  • Add the marinated steak strips to the skillet and cook for 3–5 minutes, turning occasionally until the steak is cooked through with a nice sear.

5- Combining Ingredients:

  • Mix the steak and vegetables together in the skillet, allowing the flavors to meld for another 2 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the cheese over the top, allowing it to melt slightly before removing the skillet from heat.

6- Serving:

  • Serve the steak and vegetable mix in warm tortillas, topped with additional cheese if desired.
