Ingredients
🧄 2 heads of garlic
🌿 2 tablespoons sesame oil (approximately 1 tablespoon for each head of garlic)
🧀 1/2 cup cream cheese
🌰 Toasted sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
1- Preheat and Prepare Garlic:
- Preheat your oven to 385°F (195°C).
- Take each head of garlic and slice off the top to expose the cloves slightly.
2- Roast the Garlic:
- Place each garlic head on a sheet of foil. Drizzle approximately 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over each, making sure to let some seep into the cloves and coat the outside.
- Wrap the garlic heads securely in the foil and place them on a sheet pan.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 25 minutes until the garlic is soft and the aroma fills your kitchen.
3- Prepare the Spread:
- Remove from the oven and allow them to cool slightly.
- Once manageable, squeeze the cloves from the garlic skin into a mixing bowl.
- Add 1/2 cup of cream cheese to the roasted garlic. Microwave for about 30 seconds to soften the cream cheese, making it easier to mix.
- Mix until the garlic and cream cheese are well combined and are smooth.
4- Serve:
- Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl and garnish with toasted sesame seeds on top.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for later use. Enjoy it as a dip with vegetables, on toast, or with crackers.
