So it's a gorgeous day today, somewhere in the 40's and sunny. While it's not quite warm enough for me to want to go on a long walk, especially after hiking yesterday in slightly colder weather (that post is coming soon), it's nice enough to walk through my apartment complex to the office to figure out what in the world is going on with the automatic payment system.
Yay.
the view from the top of the stairwell. I live on the third floor.
While this walk is pretty all year round, it definitely is at its most gorgeous in summer/fall.
The little finches who live around here, and who I feed, like to swarm in this bush at times. It's always amusing, especially in summer, to hear them scolding you as you walk by
Crossing the street.
The sidewalks in my apartment complex are interesting. Anytime I want to walk down to the office, or to the park across the street, I have to cross the parking lot to do so, so I can safely walk on the sidewalk. On my side, we don't have a sidewalk going all the way down.
This tree always makes me smile
We have a bunch of these around the complex. Most of the residents here are good about using them. Most.
In the winter, mainly when it's just snowed, I hate these stairs. I've slid down them a few times from slipping on the ice which builds up on them. But in the summer/fall, I love these stairs. There's so many plants around them, it's just so pretty.
The pool, unusable at the moment. I don't use it anyway, it's chlorine based, and I can't go in chlorine pools. They screw my skin up sssoo bad! The building to the side is the little gym, I use that quite a bit.
The mailroom.
And the office. Got everything figured out that I needed to, so time to go home.
I love this space by the stairs and really wish I had been able to get one of the apartments down here.
That apartment on the top corner, that's me! Specifically the windows you are seeing on the corner is my writing room. And then the balcony, which connect to the living room, and then my bedroom.
If I can ever find chalk, I plan to chalk up all these sidewalks with awesome messages. <3
This is such a nice idea. I'll have to post one walking around my town so I can make everyone as depressed as me.
Aww, where do you live?
Northampton UK. I'm actually going to start taking some pics and posting them with haikus. Watch this space.
BTW hubby is also a Hufflepuff.
Yay Puffs!!!!
Can't say I know much about Northampton UK. I've not been out of my country much, sadly. So I would greatly love to see pics.
some beautiful photos from different angles of view @bearsquared51
Thank you!
