The weather outside is pretty rainy and too cold for having an actual walk, so I was browsing my last year pictures. Since we moved to France, every year at the end of the grape-picking season my husband and I take an opportunity to have a walk in the vineyards nearby Strasbourg.
Strasbourg is located in the Alsace region, on the eastern border of France. One of the most famous things about it is "A vine route" passing nearby. It is as it reads - a route going across all the region leading you through endless vineyards and lovely small adorable towns that are dedicated to vine-making.
I will not go into the details right now since I am planning to make a full-scale article about it this summer, but for now, I just want to invite my fellow Steemians to have a small peak.
So please, come with me...
The first thing that really surprised me was the length of the grape-tree lines.
I was used to seeing one or two grape trees climbing the wall at the back of my parent's garden, but there were thousands of trees just lined up, with the path going up the hill and further. The first impression - breathtaking.
If you look closer you will notice that lines are divided into smaller squares. Turns out that each square represents a different breed of grapes and even a different owner.
These were my favorite ones with a flavor of raw sugar mixed with some sort of subtle spice.
Most of the grape trees looked pretty old...
but none less beautiful with a generous harvest awaiting.
Thank you for sticking with me.
I hope you enjoyed <3

That was really great and made me long for the summer again. You live in a beautiful part of the world @gretum.
Thank you. Indeed, I miss summer as well. That is why I shared... this winter there is no snow. The weather is murky so anything that makes me forget is good enough. I really enjoy #walkwithme project since it is really nice to see different things through the other people eyes :)
