When I follow your post that contains chicken livestock ... I remember the past when I used to have a chicken farm, and the number is not so much only 300 tail. And it's cool and makes me happy. Until one day all my chickens died attacked by a virus, at that time I do not know his name. Similar to H5N1 or bird flu.
I am so sad hearing about the death of your chickens :'( :'( That's terrible!
and it happens in 48 hours, everything is dead. I am very sad, I remember my age 10 years .. and it's been a long time ... hehe
Wow! Really. It's amazing then that down here, the chickens hatch all year round. But then the eggs would become chewy chewy,as food.

Oooh there's nothing naive about not knowing what the puddle barometer is haha, it's just a joke. All it does is state the obvious of what the weather currently is hahaa :) :)

I keep meaning to go for a walk and life keeps getting in the way!! On a different note, a dog rescue friend of mine, she runs a pitbull rescue, has chickens too and one of the females is very miniature. Their little boy and "peanut" are bonded and they make sure to get peanut in every night; taking her into the 🏠 house to keep her safe!! Also, have you heard of the "Mike the Headless Chicken" Festival that takes place every year in Fruita Co.? Which is not far from me. Many many years ago a farmer wet to butcher a rooster and somehow accidentally didn't completely remove all the brain/head, and the rooster didn't die n the farmer didn't have the nerve to finish the job. Hence Mike the Headless Chicken which lived a substantial number of years without a head!
SO enjoyed this! It made me realize how much I had missed your wwms while you were sick- I hope this means you're feeling better- great to get caught up on the antics of the #chickunbetchezzz ;)

For sure Amy, we'll definitely be continuing to populate this side of the Bay with our broody breed :) For the most part I'll be trying to only have a few hatches this summer. Wish me luck! I've heard mixed reviews on successfully breaking broody hens.

If you just keep taking the eggs away, What are they gonna do? Just make sure you get some of those full arm heavy duty mega gloves to protect yourself while collecting from under the brood of broodies!

Wonderful walk around Mr Pendock's turf. The puddle is getting slightly warmer but the looks of it. Getting warmer here are so I thought the temp have dropped again this week. One more month on the bus then it definitely the bike ! 💯🐒

It looks like Mr. pendock as King in place of that, many wives that surround that is also willing to pain in part behind it because it must often lay eggs at all times. his throne and a comfortable bed can not go by the teens.
