I am sorry that Penny was killed, that is so brutal...was she out at night? I heard of chickens who sleep in trees before. Sorry you lost Dollar too, I hope you can raise some animals again one day!
LOL I'm always trying to hunt down better pictures of my gaggle of pets, so as I find some good ones I'll be sure to drop them by haha! I love seeing other people's chickens to... as long as we were talking about chickens - the animal! I can't tell if we switched out of double entendre or not yet *wink :)! Just in case we are still talking and double entendre, I prefer seeing pictures of other people's cats :-)! There we go all bases covered!
And yes, it was really sad that Penny was killed by the owl, and she was out of the coupe that night for some reason. But such is nature I guess. The circle of life happens every day right in front of us if you only look close enough. It just sucks because Penny was loved by even the neighbors! And yes, she was a tree sleeper by the way :-), and Dollar slept right next to her! With any luck though, and a little bit of skilled trading this year I should be able to start my goat farm by 2020 at the latest, hopefully 2019!
