The war in Ukraine, causes and consequences for the world community?

in #war2 years ago (edited)

This war is the first in the history of mankind to take place in the age of social media, mobile phones that can control satellites, satellites that can see everything on earth, nuclear power plants, combat drones, and other technological components of modern civilization.

Russia's tenacity in initial attacks and its undeniable lethality has caught many by surprise. However, it is clear that Russia is not fighting for territorial gain or for economic advantage; its goal is to remove Ukraine from the international community, weaken NATO, and reassert Russian dominance in Eastern Europe.

Already, Russia's aggression has had far-reaching consequences. Most importantly, it has triggered a global response against Putin's regime. More than twenty countries have joined the United Nations Security Council in condemning Russia, and the European Union has levied sanctions against Moscow.

These sanctions have had an immediate impact on Russia's economy, which is already in recession. In addition, Putin's popularity has plummeted as a result of the war; recent polls show that only 30% of Russians support his actions.

It is hard to predict what will happen next in this complex and rapidly-developing conflict. However, it is clear that Russia will ultimately lose this war, and the world will be better off for.

What are the causes of aggression?

The reasons for the current war in Ukraine are complex, political, psychological and technical. But it seems that at its core the conflict is simply a product of Russian backwardness in the twenty-two years since the fall of the Soviet Union. As the world has moved forward, Russia has regressed, perceiving itself as a great power that must be acknowledged. If Russia is not recognized as a great power, it argues, then the world should not exist.

What's next?

What will happen next in Ukraine? The country will definitely win, as international funds will be created to reconstruct the destroyed infrastructure and there will be a tectonic shift in the world's perception of us. We are already feeling the incredible support gained by our army and unconquered people, if we keep the same spirit and unity after the war, Ukraine will be different. In the context of political and economic reforms, there was a lot of talk about how we have perhaps the last chance to make a leap into a new technological system, but no one imagined that this chance would come in the form of war.

But Russia will have to pay for everything - both with political repentance and reparations. Most likely, it will cease to exist within its current borders. Russia's annexation of Crimea and its support of separatists in eastern Ukraine has strained relations with the United States and Europe, and its economy is weak. This may be the end of the Putin regime, but Russia will still have to pay for its actions.

How will the war affect the world?

Wars have a negative impact on the world as a whole, both in the West and in the East. Only a paradigm shift in capitalism, where net profit is not the main goal, but balanced development based on fair distribution of public goods, limited consumption of resources, respect for the environment and environmental protection, can prevent future wars.

The global world will become different after the war in Ukraine. In the West, it will be difficult to recover from the economic recession and the rise of nationalism. In the East, the countries that were previously part of the Soviet Union will be struggling to rebuild. Only a paradigm shift in capitalism, where net profit is not the main goal, but balanced development based on fair distribution of public goods, limited consumption of resources, respect for the environment and environmental protection, can prevent future wars.
