Now 14.04.2022 23:00. I wanna tell you about my life until 24.02 and after. My name is Vlad(Vladislav) I'm 25. Now another air raid and don't know its for me or no. I live in Kharkov in Ukraine. I work as a cook and I like it, I liked it until 24, now I can't work because my city is being bombed. Worked 12 hours, 5 days at week. This work was enjoyable. But now there is nothing. You barely make ends meet. Now shelling is going on again, planes are flying, explosions are heard. Half of my friends have left the city and some of the country. Sometimes, when the city is quiet and the weather is good, I can go outside with my friends.Before the war, the days passed as usual, I came to work at 10 and left at 22. On weekends, I often walked with my friend, her name is Alla, she is my classmate. I also have two best friends and we have been friends since childhood. Sometimes the three of us spent time on weekends, walked, rested, and had fun. One is called Kostya, and the second is Stas. We've been friends for about 20 years. There is also a friend Ksenia, with whom, like Alla, we often sat in a cafe, ordered and bought a hookah. And so, on February 23, Alla and I sat in a cafe, got drunk, and after another party with her, I went home to sleep. On 24.02 at 05:00 the strongest shots rang out from which I jumped out of bed and the first thing I started to watch was the news. In addition to me, my father also woke up and ran to the window, to watch and listen to where it exploded. From his lips I heard the words: "It has begun, we were attacked," I asked who? He answered - "Russia". The first two days were scary, we ran to the bomb shelter, from any sound that seemed to be close.At this time, a curfew is introduced in my city from 6 pm to 6 am. It continues to this day. On the third it became terribly scary. Around 8-9 pm, my city began to be shelled and it was very strong that the sounds of explosions were heard in the shelter, from what I heard, my hands were trembling. I never thought this would be possible in the 21st century. Now I am writing this and I don’t know if my house is being shot at or not... After a couple of days, looking through the news, my family and I saw what these monsters did to Saltovka, which is being shelled to this day. What happened in Mariupol is hell... And what happened in Bucha, near Kiev, is terrible. It's hard to look at such things. My city was also bombed. You are afraid of what will soon come to me ... You do not know what to do. Run? And you don't know where... You don't want to leave your family and friends.It's too late now, I'm thinking of finishing... I hope someone will read and understand me, this is not the end, not in my story, not in the war. Good night, as people say, lately in Ukraine...
