Hi, these are pictures of a pond, sort of stagnant water. And it is located in the capital city of my state.
The pond, was originally a pit created by road constructors to dig out red sand for road constructions. When they were done, they left the site and the large pit open, which got accumulated with rain water and some other water i dont know.
Now, these site adds beauty to the open field and it is very nice in an area with little or water body like mine, but my first amazement is that, this water never dries up for once. Even in the hottest and driest of dry seasons, it still stays. At some point, i began to believe the rumours of mermaid living in it.
Secondly, a stagnant water body like this holds over 5 different species of fish. I'm amazed. I didnt study fjsh science, so im wondering if water gives birth to fishes or fishes gives birth to water. I mean, how did the fishes got here. please if you studied fishery or you are a fish Fan, help me out with some explanations.
And there is my friend, she was being impatient so i include her for extra explanation.
