Hey guys!
Guess what I did this morning! I did some watercoloring inside a My Little Pony coloring book!
The paper took the watercolors surprisingly well. Barely any warping. No pilling or bleed-through. I used Faber-Castell calligraphy series watercolor tube paint (pre-dried) and a water-brush. I also used the shimmery “silver” tube from a Dollar Tree watercolor set - also pre-dried. The silver was surprisingly pleasant to work with, considering the price. So I’m not sure if you can tell. But the eyes, Twilight’s mane (light purple streaks) and horn, and the dragon’s belly are all shimmery. I like the result more than I’d have thought.
I’m quite impressed with the paint and the coloring book. Will definitely do again!
The shimmer:
😄 I watched MLP as a kid and then my daughter too. Although, the ponies art style has changed somewhat over the years!
Too true! I love the new version, more rounded and better suited to little girls.
This looks nice. Much better than your previous color mixing, or did they even mix back then? 😁
Haha! Yeah, the watercolor crayons experiment was a joke. The Faber-Castell paints are much nicer. They were a gift :D
Bless whoever gifted them!
Now we can see some good coloring skills! 👍😁
