Waterfall Wednesday-Lower Falls of the Yellowstone

This one looks better in portrait orientation

One of my absolute favorite waterfalls because it reminds me of my family trip to Yellowstone when I was younger. I'll never forget walking down the metal stairs on Uncle Tom's trail to see the falls with my sister. I got so dizzy I could hardly walk.

Waterfall wednesday haha. nice shot. i have some nice waterfall shots too :)

Nice shot and good story! I like places that hold your history.

We're visiting in September. Can't wait to see this in person!

Wyoming does "splendor" quite well, especially in the winter! I haven't been to Yellowstone yet though - maybe this summer. Thanks for sharing.

You have to walk down metal stairs to get to this view? :)

No, not this view. Uncle Tom's Trail, which is much closer to the falls.
Here's a view from that one.

Aha! Looks like your kids were okay with it! ;)

My oldest, in the green sweater, was freaking out a little because if the see through stairs but he made it.

I understand.

Wow, this is absolutely stunning! And I love how the trees are spreading all over, from the front to the back.

Thank you! I hadn't ever been to this viewpoint before and I think it's my second favorite, right behind Uncle Tom's trail.

Great shot and awesome view ;)

Wow that is one mean waterfall. Love the contrast with the snow and the orange rock .

Thanks! I think late spring is my favorite time to go to Yellowstone. Still has some snow and the wildlife is much more active, especially the bears and wolves
