Really!? I guess it makes sense, they like to reap the benefits of being near more dense communities. They used to be fairly rare or spotty, it I’ve been tracking their patterns and noticing that they are noticing my snack stands. They haven’t really noticed me as much yet, unlike the ones at my work, they will take longer. The downtown birds are much more brave.
Living in the woods has many other benefits, but crows, I suppose, ain’t one! (I sense a lyric there!)
One time I had a really large murder come and take a bath in my creek during the winter. The creek is springfed and never freezes. It was really interesting to see their lookouts and see everyone preening. I watched them for an hour before they all traveled on.
That is super cool! I had a very good day with them today...I am working on putting the story together now :)
...I came across a murder that was more oriented to downtown. It was cool watching the lookouts and seeing so much of their character. At one point there were like 5 of them in the parking space next to me!
My window was open and everything - and I got to participate in a turf war between crows and seagulls to pledge my allegiance publicly to the crows!
