I do not complain about the value of the upvotes I receive at all. I should not even mentioned it.

I talk about the general lack of the real, genuine comments on this platform.

Most people on this platform are not actually interested in the content.

Yeah, that's an unfortunate byproduct of incentivized publishing. Most people are here for the rewards. However, if they took the time to figure it out, they'd realize that comments can often earn bigger regards than actual posts.

Yes.

This is how people ruin an otherwise technically revolutionary platform.

Everyone has to find their niche, Hive has many different communities with many different interests. There’s only a limited amount of people in this space, sometimes we need to push our work further afield to others with similar interests and maybe one day bring them to Hive.

I tried with multiple types of unique content. There are no real content consumers on this platform. Every unique content is naturally standing out on a properly working social network.

Even in the smallest Facebook groups (for example with a few hundred members). People there actually care, and they naturally use the platform.

But not the Hive blockchain. Even the smallest Facebook groups have more real content consumers than the Hive blockchain.

Most Hive communities have fewer active members than 'the smallest facebook groups' in those terms. I agree that the majority here are more focused on earning not connections

Hive is more than a 'social media' site. Users can build, grow and develop in a decentralised network.

Hive is everything, but not social.

And not decentralised either.

It is centralised around the people, who have higher amount of Hive power.

Most people do not care about the content, even if someone have higher amount of Hive power. They just pretend to care. To gain their attention and their upvotes.

But it is obvious.
If people do not care about the content, when someone have lower amount of Hive power, then they would not care about it with higher amount of Hive power either. They would just pretend to care.

This is why it is not worth it to power up Hive.

And many people do not even care about the content even as a so called content creator.

There is a general lack of real content consumers.

Most Hive posts are ignored/overlooked because of this.

I'd have to agree for the most part, most people are only out to line their own pockets, such is life. But it raises the question, why are you here? Just to complain and belittle or to try to make things better?

There are some amazing people using Hive with low stakes and no development knowledge, some people are maximising their social standings here. You just need to find your group of people.

Nowadays I rarely use Hive.

I spend very little time online, and I prefer to use properly working social networks, where people actually care about the content.

But I still check on Hive from time to time.

Because technically Hive is a revolutionary platform.

But currently most of its users are not grown up to it.

With the current approach of most of the Hive users, Hive will not beat even the smallest Facebook groups.

And I also know that some Hive users force themselves to write dozens and even hundreds of comments every day.

Not good.

People should use the platform naturally.

Like any other properly working social network.

So natural usage is what I (and probably most people) would like to see.

Nowadays I very rarely see it on Hive.

But I see it every day even in the smallest Facebook groups.
