Seems silly that you need a dongle for network, but then some laptops are too slim to fit it in. My old work HP has one, but don't think the newer ones do.
It has a mini RJ45 port. I don't need it for work now as I have the docking station, but I might need it when I'm home or 'about'. WIFI is pants; always use a cable connection where possible.
