I'm not bothered about the OS or memory or the HDD. I can upgrade/replace those for free through work.
What, my laptop, the X270? It's nearly ten years old. If I were running a Node, I'd want at least 32GB of memory (64GB would be nice) and an i7 CPU or even a Xeon. There might be a slight increase in performance with an NVME HDD, but I doubt it will be noticeable. (The X270 does not support that)
There's no reason why you can't run a Node on a Laptop.
Ah, then it is not of much use to me. I'm looking to upgrade my cpu with much better hardware even a second hand would do, if only it supports running the damn node🙂
