Many people can hardly accept different opinions and perspectives. For example people often call me negative, but I am realistic. But they do not see it.
There are actually levels of Tribalism because when it comes right down to it, that's what it is. It starts out with not believing what someone says, but then if a valid argument is presented, there continues to be disbelief because an individual doesn't want to look disloyal to a group. As the final last stand, an individual will be accused of, as you say, being negative or "Tearing it down." I myself have been accused of being venomous simply because I dare to ask questions or point out things that are wrong. Sadly, in this world, there are a lot of people willing to overlook shortcomings because they don't want to see anything bad said about their club, group, party etc.
That's true.
That is hard and I can only tolerate those 'lessons' in short bursts!
